Mr. Fusek is responsible for the accounting, tax compliance and general financial management and reporting of each of our managed vehicles across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), liaising with external property managers, auditors, lending institutions, and tax offices.

Prior to joining Caerus in late 2016, Mr. Fusek was previously with the closed-end real estate fund and asset management arm of Česká spořitelna (Czech Republic’s largest bank and a subsidiary of Erste Bank) operating across the CEE region.

From 2009 to mid 2016, Mr. Fusek was Senior Financial Controller at CEE Property Development Portfolio 2 a.s. with Česká spořitelna (CPDP 2), a circa €800m closed-end real estate fund that invested across offices, retail and land where his responsibilities included that of group reporting (IAS/IFRS), budgeting and forecasting, monthly, quarterly and yearly closings, asset-level reporting (tenancy, cash-flow, P&L, A/R, portfolio review) while also having lead roles in asset sales, mergers, demergers, asset revaluations, cost controlling, tax planning, loan facility reviews, hedging, derivatives and insurance. In such a role, he managed an accounting team of five professionals.

Prior to CPDP2, from 2007 to 2011 Mr. Fusek was with CEE Asset Management s.r.o. (a division of Sekyra Group) where he was Financial Controller of Sekyra’s CEE Property Development Fund B.V., a €400m closed-end real estate fund investing across office, retail, land and development. Prior to Sekyra, he held another financial controller position after commencing his accounting career with Accenture.

Mr. Fusek holds a Master of Business Economics and Finance degree together with a Bachelor of Management and Economics, both from Tomas Bata University (Zlín), while his professional memberships include that of a member of the Association of Czech Chartered Certified Accountants. He speaks fluent English, Czech, Spanish and conversational German.

Mr. Fusek is a member of Caerus’ Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC).
