Mr. Gerard is responsible for Caerus’ principal (non-real estate) investing activities and is responsible for onboarding and then managing our various operational portfolio companies.

Based in both Prague and Zurich, Mr. Gerard, a British national, is an experienced strategic change manager with extensive international experience having worked in the UK, CEE and Middle East delivering geographically diverse, large-scale change programmes, notably in the areas of financial crime compliance, digital, banking operations, divestments and business closures.

With a 20-year background in banking operations and technology, prior to joining Caerus IM,
Mr. Gerard was previously based in Dubai with HSBC Bank (Middle East) where, during his nine-year international year career with the bank, he most recently held the role of Regional Head of Transformation for Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.

Mr. Gerard holds a post-graduate Diploma in Strategic Finance from the Said Business School, University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Pharmacology from King’s College London. He has also completed various professional development courses during his career including in the areas of IT service management (ITIL), project management (Prince 2) and portfolio management (MoP) and speaks native English, conversational Czech and basic German.
